Captual Collection Branding

I have created a Collection of "Distortion".

Branding Logo

I have re branded Emporio Armani and given it a brand new logo, i decided to keep the eagle but modernise the overall image.

i have chosen the head off of a painting which i have included in my concept boards for the head of my figures. This illustration i created was a distorted image of one of my friends. i feel this shows the link to distortion in my work, and i have also chosen shapes of my garments to link to the theme of distortion. While also the colour pallet i have used links to the natural colours of skin and they are colours i have picked out from my trend book and concept boards.

Chosen Pattern

Building a Print

I looked into different types of pattens, which all had distorted images of the body contained within the print. The colours used were similar to my colour palette which all links to my concept.

I created patterns by by flipping and repeating images.

See below for examples....

Concept Boards

Building a Concept

I have chosen to look into Distortion as my main theme for my Concept.

At first i wanted to look into "Body Perfection" and the influence of Size in the media (size zero etc), and Body Dysmorphia.

I have also looked into artists that have created a similar feel with the work that they have created. From this, i has lead me to focus more on Body Disfigurements than "Body Perfection" and Dysmorphia.

In tern this lead me on to look into the effects of War, creating injured soliders and amputees.

This has helped me to build a colour scheme and silhouettes.

Tailoring For Communication

For this project we had to re brand Giorgio Armani, or one of his sub labels. I have decided to re brand Emporio Armani. This is because i feel i want to focus on a younger clientele, as i feel at the moment Emporio Armani isn't up to date with reaching its target audience.
